The Service: The Home Handyman is in the business of doing small repair work, plumbing, tiling, installations, decorating, to larger renovation work etc. and has earned a reputation of delivering a quality service with professional results. This expertise has been gained from working many years in the field of construction and property maintenance, and owning property. The Home Handyman operates in the Island of Guernsey (Channel Islands), and is serious about the business it operates in and the customers it works for.
Your Home and The Environment: The Home Handyman is happy to discuss/advise on ways to help make your home more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. From small projects such as fitting energy efficient light bulbs, fixing leaking taps, to larger improvement projects such as fitting thermal boarding and positive air conditioning units. The Home Handyman always cleans up when any work has been completed and removes all material debris from the customers home. The Home Handyman encourages customers to modify and reuse rather than to dispose and replace. The Home Handyman likes to recycle wherever possible. All repair/decorating debris is disposed of in the correct manner. The Home Handyman likes to keep Guernsey beautiful!
Cost: Unless agreed otherwise in writing, The Home Handyman will charge you on an hourly basis from arrival at your premises to commence the work, to the completion of the job. In addition to the labour charge, you will be charged for any materials required or out-of-pocket expenses incurred in order to carryout the work. Different hourly rates may apply depending on the nature of the work, the tools and skills required to provide these services to you - repair and maintenance; decorating; design and build skills; project management; sub-contractors for larger renovation or construction work or property security checks.
Free Advice and Estimates: The Home Handyman is more than happy to provide you with helpful advice and an estimate to give you a guide to the cost of any work that you are considering having done. This is provided free of charge and without any obligation to you, as a potential customer.
Free Quotations: All quotations are given to the customer in writing and are free of charge. The Home Handyman will take the time to meet with you to discuss your requirements for work that you wish to have done in your home.
However, there is no need to wait for a written quotation if you only want small repair work carried out. You can save time and money if you have a number of small jobs done at the same time. Many customers compile a list of things that need repairing and simply book The Home Handyman in for half a day, or a full day if the list is longer! The Home Handyman will simply work through your whole to do list.
Payment: Payment terms are strictly payment on completion of work. On larger, or more complex work, an agreed deposit may be required in advance of the work being undertaken in order to pay for materials required to carryout the work. If this is the case, it will be clearly stated in the written quotation.
One Year Guarantee: All work carried out by The Home Handyman is guaranteed for one full year. If you are not completely satisfied with the work, please let The Home Handyman know straight away - your complete satisfaction is very important.
